Since 1961, Optical Instrument Lab, inc. has been supplying high quality glass and optics to a wide variety of industries.
Our philosophy has always been to provide high quality products at reasonable prices with minimal lead times. We
work with all types of optical glasses and materials including quartz and fused silica, B270, BK-7, borosilcate,
sapphire and ceramics.
We are a distributor for Kopp filter glasses and carry a large inventory of Schott and Hoya filters also. Filters
can be made to catalog spec or any transmission requirement. A Varian/Cary spectrophotometer is used to measure
transmission and can be held to whatever tolerances you require. We utilize modern optical manufacturing equipment
as well as a complete in house machine shop to make our own tooling and fixtures.
Production capabilities include single and double side lapping and polishing, I.D. and O.D. cylindrical grinding,
Blanchard grinding, beveling, sawing, and optical assembly and cementing. We do not provide any coating services
in house but work closely with several different optical coating facilities and can provide all types of single
